Kalispell, Montana! One comment: click to see it & add yours Last night we finally found Alderwood RV Resort, but I must mention (to anyone who finds themselves looking for an RV park in Spokane - along US-2). The directions to Alderwood are AWFUL! We followed the written directions both from their website and from Woodall's. If you drive north on Argonne to route 206, and negotiate the "round about" you take hwy 206 west. Finding a "frontage road" as described in the directions is not easy. Instead, when hwy 206 dead ends into US-2 (named N Newport Hwy) turn left at the light and get in the right lane on US2 (N Newport Hwy) and enter into Alderwood. It will save a lot of sweat and confusion! The park itself is attractive, but we found the sites to be extremely NARROW. ![]() Other than that, it is a nice overnight stop. Paul walked around the park this morning, to check out the best exit. During his walk he passed this trailer sporting the largest propane tank we've ever seen on a trailer! ![]() We enjoyed the many vistas along US-2 today, and passed through only a few towns along the way. Sand Creek was one such town that impressed us with the profusion of flowers on every light pole. ![]() Driving through another town (don't recall the name) this was an interesting sign. ![]() Spokane was not far from the Idaho border and our route through Idaho was very short. This is the first time we have traveled in the beautiful state of Montana. We really were impressed all day with the many beautiful sights along the way - the trees, the land formations, and the blue sky with just the right amount of clouds to make it beautiful. ![]() Here's another of the many sights we enjoyed today. ![]() Minnesota is noted for all its lakes. Well, this part of Montana has got to receive some notice for the beautiful lakes and rivers along which we drove most of the day. ![]() We had a challenge to find this place, but the gal in the office helped us via the phone. There are LOTS of RV parks in this area, and it was easy to drive into the wrong one. Finally, we were successful and found this friendly spot - right on the river! ![]() | |

| "NO DEAL BASICALLY means that if we can't find a solution that wold benefit us both, we agree to disagree agreeably--No Deal. No expectations have been created, no performance contracts established. I don't hire you or we don't take on a particular assignment together because it's obvious that our values or our goals are going in opposite directions. It is so much better to realize this up front instead of downstream when expectations have been created and both parties have been disillusioned. When you have No Deal as an option in your mind, you feel liberated because you have no need to manipulate people, to push your own agenda, to drive for what you want. You can be open. You can really try to understand the deeper issues underlying the positions." (9/9) |
